I created my first print in high school art class. Later I worked evenings printing commercial signs then began working in commercial screen printing shops while I studied at the Toledo Museum of Art, School of Design. I also studied the Philosophy of Literature and Eastern Thought. In 1974 I moved to Seattle and began studying for my Masters degree at the University of Washington then taught at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle.
